Graduate violist Tianna Harjo will present a DMA lecture recital titled “Viola Arrangements: History and Rationale with Focus on New Repertoire for the Young Violist” on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 4 p.m. in Music Room 1145. The program will include all or portions of works by Josef Gelinek, Jean Huré, Maria Hester Park, Peter Tchaikovsky, Josef Suk, Gabriel Fauré, Antonín Dvořák, Zequinha de Abreu, and Ludwig Mendelsson. UCSB graduate piano student Petra Peršolja will accompany Ms. Harjo.
