Katrina Agate
 
Undergraduate cellist Katrina Agate will present a junior cello recital with pianist Alexander Agate on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 6 pm in Karl Geiringer Hall. Works by Bach, Glass, Shostakovich, and Dvořák.
 
Katrina Agate, 21, studies both Cello Performance and Electrical Engineering at UCSB. She began studying cello at age 9 and has studied with Andrew Cook, Janet Shulman, Ryan Sweeney, Clive Greensmith, Jacob Braun, and, currently, Jennifer Kloetzel. Prior to UCSB, Katrina was a student in Colburn’s Music Academy Program, as well as a member of the CSUN Youth Orchestras. She was a winner of CSUN’s youth orchestra concerto competition, performing the first movement of Lalo’s Cello Concerto with the orchestra in 2012. She has attended multiple music festivals, including the Music Academy of the West in the summer of 2015.
