Sara Aronson, hornplayer, native of Sweden, received her Master of Music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden, at the age of 24. The following year, she went to the University of North Texas, to study with Dr. William Scharnberg. Ms. Aronson returned to Stockholm where she performed at the Royal Opera for a year. During the summer she went to Santa Barbara to participate at the Music Academy of the West, studying with Mr. Dave Kreibiehl, former principal horn in the San Fransisco Symphony. During her career as a freelancer, Ms. Aronson made several recordings with different artists, as well as the Swedish Broadcasting Orchestra, and the Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. Ms. Aronson decided to leave the world of music in order to study psychology and work as a psycholaogist, however the love for music and playing the horn was stronger than she could anticipate. Ms. Aronson was invited to study at UCSB and is currently pursuing her second MM, studying with Dr. Steven Gross.
