Bio

Dr. Bahram Osqueezadeh has been hired as a lecturer to teach Iranian/Persian music within the World Music Performance series (22/122/222x). This is a class he has taught here for six years. Bahram received a Ph.D. in Composition from UCSB in 2008, and recently held appointments as an adjunct professor at California State Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo and California Institute for the Arts. He has taught undergraduate courses in ethnomusicology and graduate courses in his areas of specialty for more than 15 years at UCSB, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Cal Arts and in Iran at Soureh University and Darvak Institute. He has also taught orchestration, composition, and computer music courses.
