Undergraduate flutist Jenna Ku will present a junior recital with pianist and UCSB faculty member Dr. Natasha Kislenko on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 4:30 pm in Karl Geiringer Hall. The program will include Madeleine Dring's Trio for Flute, Oboe and Piano, Carl Reinecke's Sonata for Flute and Piano in E Major ("Undine"), Op. 167, and Ian Clarke's The Great Train Race.

About the Artist

Jenna Ku began flute at the age of 9 and piano later at the age of 11, managing to complete Piano Level 10 of Music Teacher’s Association of California’s Certificate of Merit exam in 5 years. She has shown her proficiency in flute through her recent accomplishments, placing 1st in the New Youth Orchestra Solo Competition in the Exceptional Performance Level (2015), 1st in the Spring Flute Guild Competition in Young Artist Senior Division (2015), 3rd in Grossmont College Scholarship Competition (2016), 1st in Grossmont College Scholarship Competition (2017), as well as through awards from many other flute festivals. Jenna is currently a junior studying flute performance with Professor Jill Felber.
