Bio
Chet Stussy is a Ph.D. student in musicology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he also works as a teaching assistant. His research interests include early sound recording technologies, twentieth-century American popular music, and the history of music theory. He has written program notes for the Music Academy of the West, an institution where he has also served as Assistant Librarian. He received his B.A. in Music from Westmont College.
Chet is a member of the American Musicological Society, American Musical Instrument Society, Association for Recorded Sound Collections, and the Antique Phonograph Society. He is an active accordionist in the Santa Barbara area.
