Son Jarocho Lecturer

The Department of Music at UC Santa Barbara seeks to appoint a part-time, non-tenure track lecturer position at the University of California Santa Barbara beginning Spring 2026 to teach Son Jarocho, leading the ensemble course and holding at least one performance each academic quarter.

UCSB Doctoral Candidate Diandian Zeng Awarded 21st Century Fellowship

Doctoral student Diandian Zeng was awarded the 21st Century Fellowship from the Society for Ethnomusicology. The 21st Century Fellowship supports excellence in ethnomusicological research by providing funding to two highly qualified Ph.D. students each year for their dissertation fieldwork.

UCSB Composer João Pedro Oliveira Awarded 2025 Fromm Music Foundation Commission
