Nuñes Scholarship Woodwind Quintet Artists
The UC Santa Barbara Nuñes Scholarship Woodwind Quintet performs chamber works for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and horn. Directed by Jill Felber.

About the Artists
Alex Barak, bassoon
Alexandra Barak has been playing bassoon for the last 6 and a half years, and began studying music on the piano at the age of 7, participating in competitions and festivals on both instruments. She began playing bassoon in high school at the Van Nuys Performing Arts Magnet and the following year joined the CSUN Youth Philharmonic where she played primarily first chair for two years. Alex loves music very much and has a rich background in music studies and theory. Her other favorite things to do include face-timing her twin sister, riding horses, and playing with her dog Rosie.
Cameron Espino, oboe
Cameron Espino is a third-year Oboe Performance major at UC Santa Barbara. Alumnus of Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California, he participates in the UCSB Wind Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, Pops Orchestra, and Chamber Ensemble Groups. Having studied oboe since his freshman year of high school, he is excited to take part in the UCSB Nuñes Woodwind Quintet and Montage concert.
Connor Hahn, horn
Connor Hahn is a first-year Horn Performance major at UC Santa Barbara from San Marcos, California. Among playing with the Nuñes Woodwind Quintet, he also performs with the UCSB Horn Ensemble and UCSB Chamber Orchestra.
Dillon Halpin, flute
Dillon Halpin is a flautist from San Diego who loves spending his time at the beach, producing electronic music, DJ’ing, and laughing with friends. He attended Mira Mesa High School and has spent the last 3 years at UCSB as a flute performance major under the direction of Jill Felber. He is a member of the UCSB Chamber Orchestra, UCSB Flute Choir, and the Nuñes Woodwind Quintet. Dillon plans to pursue a career in conducting and teaching after he graduates.
Eric Lee, clarinet
Eric Lee is a second-year Music Composition major at UC Santa Barbara. He calls the Bay Area home where he attended Cupertino High School. At the University he plays with the Nuñes Woodwind Quintet and has participated with the UCSB Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Clarinet Choir.
