Bio

Katrina Zook, mezzo-soprano, completed the M.A. in vocal performance in 1990 and advanced to candidacy in the Ph.D. program in musicology in 1993, studying 16th century Dutch Anabaptist hymnody. After four years teaching voice, music history, and conducting two choral ensembles at Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia, she attended the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY where she earned the D.M.A. in Vocal Performance and Literature. Since 1999, Dr. Zook has served on the faculty at the University of Wyoming, Laramie, WY where she teaches applied voice, vocal pedagogy, music history courses, and serves as Associate Chair of the Department of Music. Katrina is married to MAJ (RET) D.C. Faber and they have a teenage son, Thomas.
