Bio

Kei Wing Chan is a composer from Hong Kong whose work explores the
intersections of nature, the humanities, and psychology through multi-layered timbral
transformation and immersive spatialization. Drawing on spectral thinking as both a
compositional and perceptual framework, her music navigates the fluid boundaries
between sonic texture, space, and emotion. Her work includes compositions for solo,
chamber, orchestral, electroacoustic, and sonic art installations, and has been
presented internationally across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

Chan holds degrees from Xinghai Conservatory of Music, Mannes School of Music,
and Stony Brook University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Music
Composition at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
